Great heavens, they were in B & W then.

I think the sex offender's register is still

written in the same way.  (Until the Queer

Characters start signing it.)

Is it complete with front & back covers &

pin-up announcer of the week?

Does anyone buy them now?

That harks back to the time when you had to buy the Radio Times (for BBC) and TV Times (for ITV) just to find out what was on tv for the week ahead.

Now in the digital age, with 7 or more day electronic program guides, does anyone actually bother buying these things?

I think they're of a bygone age now TBH    along with the close down at 12.00  and the announcer telling us to switch off the set ...wishes us all a sincere good night ,  the national anthem plays ..... the picture contracts to a white spot ,,,then a high pitched whistle sounds to wake us all up .

Ah  Nostalgia 'aint what it used to be   !!    Who wants the Sweeny roaring round in fast cars , drinking and swearing and growling " You're nicked"

when you could have Sergeant Dixon coming out to stand on the station steps and greet us with " Evening all  'eres a little story for you "
