Installing a bathroom fan.

Current CU has 3036 fuses.

Thinking of the best way to add an RCD to the circuit.

Since the fan will be coming off the lighting circuit, i was thinking mounting a RCD fused spur next to the CU and running the lighting circuit via the RCD spur.

So the whole lighting circuit will be protected, as will the new fan.

Its a flat so only one lighting circuit, so not able to split it so all the lights don't fail if trips!

Any other/better suggestions?

Sounds like a goodun already. Don;t forget to check that sup bonding is there if all bathroom circuits are not rcd protected.

loop in to the bathroom drop into the the rcd i put em on the wall either in or outside the bathroom at high level.

out of the rcd into a JB pick switch up and to lamp,

3 core to fan isolator then to fan.

all bathroom is covered by rcd unless there is a shower there.
