Reference methods (again)

Morning all. Have had a quick look through previous posts regarding reference methods but can seem to find what im looking for. What reference method would T&E cable placed directly on top of thermal insulation exceeding 100mm be? Thanks. J

?clipped direct. There is nothing stopping heat build up

Ref method C, as long as the cable is above the insulation and not surrounded by it. Cable will stay cool as the insulation will keep the heat in the room below.
