Hi I’ve got 2.5mm t&e on a 16amp breaker run through a thermally insulated wall what is the current carrying capacity calculation for this is it 0.5 of the clipped directly rating so 34 so 17amps?

I’d say only 2meters run in 2 inch insulation one side touching insulation

It’ll more then likely not much affect it for so short of a run, I think it’s around 23A for 2.5 twin run in 100mm insulation above plasterboard or in studs, but then you’ve got to look at the design current what’s it feeding is it gonna draw the 16A or is it a radial circuit with sockets that could possibly have appliances plugged in at 13a a piece if so 4mm twin on a 20a breaker
