Replacement cooker

Hi,

Just after a bit of advice.

A customer is replacing a free standing cooker.

The CU is an old board with MCBs, the existing cable is sufficient for the new cooker.

Would just changing the cooker require a RCD being installed?

Not unless manufactures instructions ask for one!

Some manufacturers advise you not to put cookers through RCD's.
