"It Just Is"
Andrew Sachs has passed away, use to love the old Fawlty Towers for a dose of light entertainment.

Not exactly PC was it ? Especially "The Germans"A great actor and from an age when they could make us all laugh - just imagine the BBC reading the script of Fawlty Towers now.....................
He's right though. That's what the bbc passes for comedy nowadays. He knows how to get his point across without speaking about lettuce, unlike me.Not too impressed then Kerch?? :innocent

As Rapparee says , there was , perhaps , a golden era .
Citizen Kahn I class with the Mrs Brown Show ...bilge .
We do get some gems still, as said , The IT Crowd.
Always remember blokes sitting round on a job talking about comedy, some bloke says " Hate Dad's Army , its that Captain Mainwaring I can't stand , blooming pompous twit" :C I'm saying but that is the whole point ...can't you see it ?
" Naw he,s a pompous twit" :C
The only American comedy I really thought was excellent is Frasier . They were not afraid to do some subtle , none comedy stuff, like a character in hospital for an episode or where someone says " Well none of us live forever" Or similar . Frasier's dad just looks down at his little dog , Eddie ...cue credits.
