To 'o the morning,
Sorry for all these PV questions lately. I haven't had a massive amount of experience on the 'behind the scenes' stuff for PV but as mentioned prior, We want to do our own and are getting MCS accredited. Now I want our own jobs to be done right and I hear stories of installers not getting any surveys done, doing shoddy work and generally making a bad job of it all.
There are a couple of things left that I need to clear up and one of them is:
What is the done thing regarding Structural roofing appraisal.
I have spoken to a couple of 'others'. One couldn't give me a straight answer (so probably doesn't do it) then other says he knows a guy who does desktop surveys for him for £15 a shot but that it would be considerably more for us.
What is the going rate for such a thing and do any of you have a recommended contact?
PClip offer them at £75 (please delete if I shouldn't be post such info).
Obviously on survey if there is anything untowards then a visit from a surveyor would be needed, but for regular, in tact roofs, desk topping seems to be accepted.
Thanks
