Well I am going to be brutally honest here...

I am NOT a big Rugby fan...

and

I am probably even less of a Wales fan...

BUT....

Admin's boys were robbed this morning!!!!!

But they can come home with their heads held high...

Far more honorable than the English boys girls who didn't give the frogs anything to sweat over!

Guinness

With 16 to 15 then 16 to 14 men we were never gonna win that.

There was NO WAY that was a red card.

There were as bad if not worse tackles during other games and they only led to a yellow +/or a penalty.

Sad when the major talking point of a Rugby World Cup Semi-Final is the cheating French ref!

Had it on whilst I was eating breakfast and I was shocked the captain was sent off. Bit of a bugger the Welshie didn't make that penalty. 1 point and 2 men down isn't bad going.

Kiwi's to beat France in final. Home turf and we mustn't humour the cheese eating surrender monkies...........

Just watched it this evening.

Other than the 1 bad call, I can`t really take issue with the ref.

BUT, who thought taking Hook off was a good idea, FCOL?? I reckon we`d have got either the drop or penalty - and I really felt sorry for Halfpenny...the smallest trailing breeze would`ve seen that over.

Hope Rhys Priestland is okay - though I like to think that he wanted to get back home & look at the solar panels we put on his house last week :) :) :)

Amen to `pache - the onion-toting brigade must not be allowed to repeat this morning`s exercise in survival.

Thought the All Blacks were very good today. Can't see any other result than a NZ victory in the final.

BAD CALL, BAD CALL, I CAN'T believe that, it was not just a BAD CALL!

The guy was blinkin incompetent!

French ref in a game involving France, well out of order.

If you watched the post match then there were 3 or 4 tackles just as bad or worse in the rest of the finals but the worst was a penalty & sin bin.

IF the guy had gone off on a stretcher then yes, red or even worse, but the tackled guy got up and played the rest of the match without incident!

Well out of order, unless from now on every time a player is lifted off his feet and those feet end up above the tacklers head then the tackling player gets a red, in any game under the IRB, else the guy is out of order.

If they are going to change the rules then change them else stick to what is there.

No it's not sour grapes as we could have won the game if we had played better, we missed too many kicks and did not take some of the opportunities that we could have.

There was a South African guy in the studio who would have hung drawn & quartered the ref given less than half a chance!

NZ all the way, can you image the game that would have been if the French had not cheated!

just because other refs were easy doesnt mean this one had to be,

and,,,,

you woulda thought being celts and all that,,,,,,

anyhows,

france are about to get their ***** well and truly kicked.!

KME,

He "lives" in Ireland!

He speaks fluent French.

His father is French.

What I can't get is why the other players who tackled in the same manner during the tournament which were all captured on t.v. have not had the same treatment?

Actually, IIRC, mind I'm not sure TBH, the same ref gave a different decision on the same sort of incident during another match of the tournament.

It is the lack of consistency that I have an issue with.

Didn`t see other matches, so I can`t / won`t comment - but if he DID give a different decision on a similar incident, then I agree thats wrong.

I thought him French too, TBH - Didn`t think it very fair when he was yakking to the frog-lovers though....what happened to transparency? Shouldn`t he also have spoken to our guys in Cymru then???

Sam Warburton, our Wales captain, is NOT a Villain, dirty player or call it what you will. There was no malice there at all. OK, as much as I have never liked Allain Rolland, he is there to keep the game within the laws of the IRB.

IMHO it was a Yellow card, taking into account the game was a world cup semi-final, etc. The situation was made worse by the reaction of the French team.

NOW, I don't think I was imaginging it, but on one of the penalties awarded to France, didn't Allain Rolland actually say to the French team "points Please"? before the French side opted to kick at goal for the posts??

I am sure he did.

I was watching Scrum V (Scrum 5) last night and a prediction made by Lloyd Williams's dad was to put Dan Lydiate at number 7.

Wales need a specialist openside flanker to compete with Australia's David Pocock. It was suggested then, by one of the chaps on the show itself to get Martin Williams in as he is a natural Number 7. He stopped playing at 99 Caps and he is gutted at that, according to a good friend of his that was on the show. (Tom Shanklin).

Martin Willliams is currently in New Zealand as a television pundit, and the last I saw of him, he was off from playing with the Cardiff Blues, with a Wrist/arm injury).

Has he got his boots with him? Is his arm better? Should he be given the chance to make 100 caps of Test rugby for Wales? Should someone else play at number 7 (Lydiate or otherwise) and let Martin Williams play the last 5 - 10 minutes of the match?

What do you guys think?

Even if you had made it to the final who ever you play at No 7 would have been given a lesson by the best No 7 in the world Ritchie McCaw

We'd have found out when it would have happened, Sept. ;)
