been meaning to post this for a few days...

Whilst having a few days off with the missus (20th wedding anniversary) in Fowey, in deepest Cornwall i was wondering what all the jet engine noise was about - I take an interest in aircraft having worked for BAe. Looking up i spotted to jets escorting a large plane which i now know is the Russian Bear aircraft, flying inland at fairly high altitude. Same planes were also spotted further inland at Bodmin, so all that crap about not flying over sovereign UK airspace is total lies. Why do governments insist on lying through their teeth X(

The cold war is "hotting up" again that's for sure.

Perhaps I need to build a fallout shelter in the basement of my new house?  I'll stock up on tinfoil.

You may very well be right Dave. It's only a matter of time, bet putins loving this euro crisis that is going in with Greece etc.

Bet he is also keeping a watchful eye on how quickly we are dismantling our armed forces too.

Thanks for that Binky,  does anything happen without us being lied to I wonder ?      Did the government not imagine that someone in Cornwall may have noticed a dirty great Russian bomber being escorted by two Tornadoes?

The way cut backs are going its a wonder we didn't have to send up the last flying Spitfire !!!

Last week the Russians were flying along our North Sea coast.

They are asking for volunteers round here to defend the country from the Russians ,  you get an old WW1  uniform and a broomstick ....apparently they don't like it up 'em !!!

Apparently there is still one working flying Avro Vulcan....

http://www.vulcantothesky.org/news/468/82/We-launch-Operation-2015.html

Maybe the government could buy it back and give it to the RAF...?????

Twas a genuine Cold-War defence bomber you know!!

:C

Is there not one used to clear a runway in Essex somewhere???

Dunno what we can do about Pootin, nothing seems to be stopping him in Ukraine :(

If he decides to come over here our elf n safety broomsticks aren't going to help!

the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight still have a spitfire along with the lancaster

so we now have

Lancaster (2nd in Canada, anyone know someone there so we can borrow it?)

Spitfire

Vulcan

A few sailing boats / canoes for sea support courtesy of Noz & paddler

looks like we may be ready to go to war with them after all. now we just need an agreement with russia and every country along the way to make pit stops for fuel
