if i remember right i think its in guidance notes 3no mate i dont need the official procedure i,m doing my nvq at the minute and it keeps stating the safe isolation procedure as stated in the onsite guide and ive looked in the onsite guide and i cant find it
1 major problem with that. you have not proved you have isolated the correct circuit. which leaves it open for someome to turn on the power to the circuit your working on1) Seek Permission to isolate2) Locate means of isolation-Isolate
3) Lock off, fit warning signs, enclosures, barriers etc (keep key on your self at all times).
4) Select GS38 approved voltage tester indicator
5) Test voltage tester on proving unit or known live source (to verify unit is working)
6) Test that installation is dead, testing between outgoing L-E, L-N, N-E
7) Reprove voltage tester on proving unit or known live source
8) Commence work
