Safe storage of fluorescent lamps

I know of a property in Basingstoke that was built 10+ish years ago and in the footings are a few thousand GU10 lamps and a few hundred florry lamps, if memory serves they came from a London corporate office re-lamp.

Nothing to do with me I hasten to add, the owner (now dead) was a wholesaler who ran a maintenance team on the side.

That's what I call a "hard core" storage solution. In the ballast? ;)
