Property that was converted into to two 4 apt flats and completely rewired.

Ask for Scottish Power to install a supply/meter to above property.

They have now been and put fuse head and meter and isolator switch at front door of property which is 5-6 meters from consumer board.

I was on the understanding that the max was 3 meters but cannot find any regulation if this is the case.

You can have any length you like if there's an isolating switch and fuse or MCB (your fuse not theirs) That makes it a submain to the consumer unit.

In these circumstances I usually run a 3 core 16mm armour and supply it through a 63A double pole MCB (usually a Hager or Merlin / Schneider)

The DP isolator fits well in to a 5 module plastic enclosure
