Is there much value in scrap batts,Reason i'm asking is i've got 100 to replace in a UPS system and if on a like for like basis each batt weighs 13kg.

I do know that scrap yards will take them, a good clue as to the value of anything is if you leave it out the front of the building, if its gone within an half hour, its worth something!

as rev says, got a fiver last time i weighed a car battery in. Get them scrapped!

Well the jobs in Norfolk in a couple of weeks Rev,Nearly a a ton and half to take down just didn't fancy bringing the old ones them back if i can get them shiffted down there.

Replacing the batts in the UPS for a call centre thats why their's so many.

Thanks

you need to get to know the customers a bit better,

most of ours will let the guys have the scrap and say nothing.

sometimes its a condition of how we even work, eg, on re-wires the guys get the cable is a part of the deal I have with the bosses.

I actually done a night job a while back where the sloumy was worth more than the pay! and that was the condition I done it, was to keep the scrap, 70mm 4c SWA X 600m.!
