I've got one and I think it pretty good , it's quite clumsy but on the whole it's worth the cash

I've not used that particular one, but I have used similar things, and every one I have tried has been a very poor imitation of a ladder. They are particularly at their worst when you try and use them straight out as a plain ladder, resembling something of a banana rather than a nice straight secure ladder.

+1 I have one and its great for everything except full stretch, in fact the last guttering job I did i hired a scaffolding instead of using it because i knew I wouldnt feel safe enough on the ladder to put the guttering up straight..

having said that, I have used it at full stretch a few times and it hasnt snapped on me yet, but I am sure to be absolutely stock still when Im up it

Ive got one from b+q had it a few years now. I'm always using it never had any problems. Very handy for storing and transporting

I have 2 of these, a 3 rung and a 4 rung version. I have them because it is one of the items my Son sells on his websites.

They are ok as a backup, they make good work benches and they are good as a 'deck' when doing ceiling work. At full tilt they can be a bit 'hairy' as you are relying on 3 hinges , so 6 points of failure. They can make some quite weird angles to get you out of the carp if required.

My weapon of choice however is the Little Giant 4 rung ladder. It is as solid as a solid thing impersonating a rock. Same item as they use when repairing traffic lights, but a bit smaller. I work out of an estate car, it lives on its side in the back of the car and takes up next to no space at all. It extends to a 14 foot ladder in multiples of 1 foot [combi ladder cannot do this]. Works on staircases and splits into 2 trestles , add a plank and you've got a deck. Yes , I know I have gone on a bit, biu Little Giant is the way 'upwards'......... :coat

Mine is in a customer`s house, as you know. I feel lost without it.

Its heavy to transport, for its size - but I find it really handy, and yes, it bends on full stretch - but not to the point where you think it may break.

n.b. mine was from Makro, but they`re the same thing.

Picked one up. Fits lovely ontop my stanley roller box with a few bungees round it and i can put it in my sardine can erm i mean van easy, will do for me til i get a bigger van then im going to treat myself a to a decent size set of combi ladders.

Once again thanks for the input guys

With where i have to leave my van currently and with nowhere to store anything things outside the van dont stay there very long no matter the security attached..

Bigger Van is due in the summer hopefully :p

Move house would be my No 1 priority. There's no way I would want to go back to living domewhere even a little bit iffy.

I CAN lock my ladder roof bar hooks, but have never felt the need to yet.

I don't always remember to lock the garage at night let alone the car. What a difference it is to live somewhere nice.

After living in some not so nice areas, I think that I would prefer to live in a not so nice house but in a nice area but not the other way round!

However, yesterday I felt a bit stressed after seeing two dodgy looking characters who seemed to be having a good luck at the houses by me, not sure if it was mine or the neighbours, but I 'm going to get some barbed wire, electric fencing and snarling rottweilers tomorrow! X(
