ProDave is only south if your name is Santa Claus,  :slap

btw Bob,

Dave is really a BIG south [almost France,  :slap    ]that just happened to move a bit more north,,,,,,,,,,,,

I've never claimed to be a Scot, just that I live in Scotland.

I saw sense 11 years ago and abandoned the over priced over crowded SE of England. It was only going to get more expensive and more crowded.

I notice that Sparkybob is now typing in a Scottish accent  :innocent    All wasted on Dave of course who is a plastic Scotsman and doesn't know his banks from his braes & his Trussocks from his Cairngorms .

While on the subject of dialects , just wondering if the following common saying concerning the weather is used outside the Midlands.

" Its getting black over Bill's mothers "       ( Its looks like rain)

Its said to refer to ..in the direction of Stratford ... Bill's mother being William Shakespear's mother .   But is used for any direction .

Be warned......I work in London and Kent but was born in North Ayrshire. So I understand any "steamin great dunderhead" comments!

Sorry, "dunderheid!"
