Typical - busier than a busy thing and this happens. Pulled a rubble sack out of the van on Tuesday, felt a scratch and then saw a wound 5 inches long x 1 inch wide. Yuck. Docs want me to have it bandaged up for 2 weeks. How do you guys allow for this sort of thing when you have your own business?

It is covered up, that was just a photo i took during the change of dressing. Biatch is that the way they have stitched it and the route the cut follows, any use of the hand will open the cut up and then the healing process will take longer which is why they never put old fashioned stitches in.

Hmm, not sure I agree on that one Barx! lol
lol, well there are men and then there are 'men'. ha ha

Yeah but it would leave a nice scar and make you look double-hard.

The short answer to your. question is some form of personal injury loss of earnings insurance, or increase hourly rate so work days can cover non-work days.

Stop picking it....it'll never get better .

You need one of those guys who say they 'll help you for nothing , for the experience.

That looks nasty mate, Evans is spot on, I'm sure there will be plenty of people looking to work for nothing but just for the experience. Anyway hope it heals quickly, until then have a couple of Guinness to ease the soreness :Salute

Wrap some gaffa round it and shove it in a Marigold.

sadly, its one of the perils of being self employed, I was back at work the same day after breaking 2 ribs, my wrist and minor head injuries after an 80mph bike smash, but thats the way it goes.

TBH tho, i wudnt again, my wrist has never been the same since. take the time off, do as your doctor says and let it heal, youll be needing it later. Itll hurt your pocket now, but youll only regret it if you dont mate.

Hope its better soon

I have insurance for such occasions,

had it since I raced bikes, it even covers racing accidents! very very few companies will insure you against those type of risks,

I still keep it even though sometimes I think the money is a waste, sods law if I cancel it I'll be off work injured,,,

oh, mm, so youve been there watching me have you?

it was my PC, it froze, wouldnt do anything, just kinda stuck on the same picture and my clicking wasnt doing anything,! :|

you sure it wasnt your lag on ie?

mm, there must be a better excuse that is more plausible,, :C
