Just installed some downlights and wondered what to enter on the minor works cert. regarding IR test. Do I need to test the selv cct separately and enter the results as well as the main lighting cct? Cheers guys.

IR testing for this type of circuit is normally carried out before any transformers are connected at installation or first fix stage.

It is often overlooked and not tested at all but should be at all times.

If its a pir then a suitable test that is permissable is to test with phase and nuetral together to earth.
