Have visited customer again this evening.

Carried out r1 & Rn tests, just to see if there were any abnormal readings. Highest was r1 2.02 with coresponding rn an expected lower reading of 1.78.

Voltage was 239.

The bulbs were very cheap and nasty, so have fitted mini flouresants to see what difference they make - Less heat certainly!

Also asked the question of when the bulbs blew, and was answered normally at night!!! then spent 1/4 of an hour kicking myself repeatedly for such a stupid question

Am now waiting with baited breath.

Doubt if the compact fluorescents will blow .

Can we close the thread with the solution as cheapo lamps ?

Whenever I've had this kind of problem its always been either cheapo lamps or worn out lamp holders
