hello chaps,

have to do a quote for a shop and flat above (flat will be independant with its own door etc).

question is... fire alarms and exit signs etc... they are installed at the moment but is it a reg?

any other pointers would be greatfuly recived.

will also need advice on cctv, not done any yet but will need to.

many thanks

paul

Every business has to do a risk assessment as to Fire precautions required.

This shop should have had that done and it will specify what is required.

Fire alarms should comply wth BS5839 Part 1 and Emergency lights BS 5266

This has arisen before , Paul , so see the guy's posts above. My view is that you and the rest of us should install what people ask us to do, its not our responsibility whether a fire alarm or emergency lighting is required . Responsibility is with the owner.

We have enough to contend with already without becoming The Electric Police.
