I'm always intriqued by some of these things you learn after the fact.

Like :-

Doris Day was the original choice for Mrs Robinson in "The Graduate" !!

The know it all movie moguls in Hollywood were ready to release the film "Wizard of Oz" , decided it ran a few minutes too long so they said "Cut the Over the Rainbow song out , no one will like it anyway"

Roy Orbison wrote Only the Lonely for Elvis who never heard it as he never got up in the daytime when Orbison was there . In the end someone suggested Roy record it himself, another career launched.

Heard today that Tom Jones' song "It's not Unusual" was originaly written for Sandie Shaw , management turned it down.

Halo - Beyonce was written by Ryan Wetter of One Republic for Leona Lewis, Simon Cowell turned it down.

in all seriousness, simon cowell is about all I recognise there.

I do know that the producers regreted the fact they didnt get Deke Evans to star opposite Jen A in horrible bosses,

as far as I can glean apparently they thought he would have thought she was a boss sent from heaven.
