hello chaps,

just a quick one.

showers that are run from a combi boiler, do they require a pump to run them? or is it done through pressure as the taps are?

if a pump is needed is a FCU from sockets ok (size of pump permitting)

thanks chaps

just a straight feed from hot and cold, mixer only as well i think

the aqualisa showers can require a processor even if it is a combi. Just three amps needed.

You can;t pump mains water, so if the shower is fed directly from the combi it won;t be pumped. You can have a pumped shower from a storage system fed from a combi though. Is there a specific question behind this or is it a general musing? The answer could be yes or no if it is for a specific job you are looking at depending on what else is there.

That's just because they have fancy electronic doodahs and wotnots. If any shower on a combi needs power it will only be low amperage type stuff.

Combi's run on mains pressure , no need for pumps with them has you should have a decent flow rate with adequate pressure for a decent shower . I have a vented heating system in my house so I have a thermostatic mixer valve and I have a pump to boost the pressure for a decent shower
