socket set

hi guys, i have started my apprenticeship now i have got most tools but i would like a good socket set for home purposes and i sometimes feel the need to use it at work, i have been looking at wera tools they look good and durable but quite expensive can anyone give any advice for a 1/2" socket set?

my socket set is halfords professional expensive but worth it, cant say ive ever used it at work doing what i do now.

During my apprenticeship used to work on big stuff and would have used a socket set once a week or so.

Use sockets on switchgear, panelboards , busbars etc , also on car and van , but would not recommend a top of the range set for the usage we give them, if you were a motor mechanic then yes .
