Hello everyone,

I'm getting few quotes for PV and battery installed on the outbuilding roof instead of the main house.
The outbuilding is connected from the meter in the house via armoured cable going through the garden.
The outbuilding has its own consumer unit.
I'm trying to avoid the trenching to connect the panels and battery to the main house.
however, I'm getting conflicting quotes, one says you don't need trenching and other the opposite.
Bear in mind I want to export to the grid as well.
is it doable?
Many thanks

Is that above ground ?
Clipped to walls and fences ?
If that was acceptable why not repeat ?

Are you sure?
Just to confirm I think @binky is asking what size of cable is going out to the outhouse, a 25mm say 3 core SWA is unusual but not unheard of to go out to an outhouse, are we talking farm here?
i will have to double check that, installed by the previous owner.
maybe mixing up the diameter 20-25 instead 10mm cable
many thanks
