Been asked to fit some stairs lights but never done any before. Anybody on here done any and got some tips?

Where do you run the cables?

I'm assuming they are mounted into the riser board?

Any advice welcomed, cheers guys.

Yup, them's the ones mate. Easy enough to do? Were would they be switched, next to hallway switch I would assume. Any tips on place of purchase? Ta

they are normall switched with existing lights, or you can have them on their own

the first pic is my house (its decorated and a proper carpet now though!). they either come on with the light, or an over-ride switch (lights wired to common, L1 switched supply from light, L2 perm feed from light)

i use these (made by Robus)

but i ge them from my local wholesaler (there also cheaper there)

My main concern was 'keeping the zones' though obviously this isn't possible. Will have a ring round locally when I get a min during 'work hours'. Thanks alot Andy
