Am i being a bit of a girl, or is it worth getting one of these? just think they're handy for and extra bit of confidence. Do any of you use them? or ye ol' knock knock technique, do they actually work?

used one a few times, but i usually use the old knock and listen method. although its probably less accurate!

They can be a very usefull tool.

However if you want any confidence in them I suggest you pay for a better model than the cheap ones around for diy use.

nice, well I bought this one from SF, and it was pretty accurate. Has a bit of a fit sometimes, but you've just got to play around with the settings and it sorts itself out.
