looking for a tablet, needs to be Linux based,[ie Android] preferrably , I dont know what blackberry/google runs on[?]

had a quick look at these 2 , any thoughts

A

B

or any other suggestions round that sort of budget,

I dont want an iPad for a few reasons, one of those being I cant afford/justify the cost, and it wont do some of the stuff I need it to do.

(but if I can get one for a 100

not sure about 'A' but i was looking at 'B' when I bought my tablet. It looks good for the money but many say it suffers touchscreen lag and it's unresponsive at times. Is it a 10"er your after?

FFS DON'T buy one of these:

ARNOVA 10 G2 10.1in Touch Tablet : Tablet PC's : Maplin Electronics

Archos Arnova 10 G2 - bought for my boy last Xmas - on recommendation from my nephew who had bought FOUR, one for each of his kids. A cheap stocking filler tbh - can you believe he DIDN'T want an iPad!

Good machine tbh BUT the power connector on the side is fragile as they come. Nephew's four all broke one after the other then my boys did to. All bought from HMV and it ended up they were refunding him as he took them back. Seems Maplin are selling them now - wonder if they've "cured" the dc jack issue! I opted to repair mine with a jack from eBay but tbh it's not the same and was a pain to do - the solder was bullet proof and it's of course all smd stuff on the board.

I dont particularly want android on it, I reckon its possible to run lightweight Ubuntu(Lubuntu or similar) on the *nix based tablets, the internet seems to confirm this, Im on the list for a 'vivaldi'

It doesnt have to be 10", but I dont want anything too small either.
