Never heard of it, but, on reading its a successor to INCOGNITO , which was very good, so I'd imagine this is even better.

Everybody's getting the Linux bug these days, :D

Yep, this is from a mate who is (was?) a die hard "Apple everything" type. I've been batting on about how cool Ubuntu (& now Zorin) is and he has as you say caught the bug! He found this.

It's designed as a live OS, not specifically as an installed version. It might be good to carry it on a flash drive if you use other peoples PC's to do banking payments etc. It's still very early days though and it's only on Ver 1.0 release so maybe wait a while for the bugs to get ironed out.

Can you (I know it's NOT meant to be) install Tails direct to the hard drive or is that defeating the object?

I was thinking to maybe build a pc to play with that has the Tails OS on a dongle sized USB stick or even better a LOCKED SD card - so it STAYS in the pc all the time. Would it be as quick/quicker than an SSD? Assuming then that I can reserve some of the stick/card to be persistent so I don't have to type in my SSID everytime?

Isn't this Tor thingy that which was on the link by Canoey the other week? Something about Internet and surveillance?the dark web? Or am I way off the mark?
