A circle of 300 year old oak trees have recently been been felled to make way for yet another Tesco.

As usually happens , it is suddenly discovered that they were all diseased and must be felled immediatly.

This is at Hall Green on the A34 from B,ham to Solihull , so its goodby to the high street shops there then. :(

Never believe what politicians tell you !! Some 20 years ago it was announced that the Birmingham General Hospital was in a desperate state of repair and should be demolished in the interests of safety and make way for a new development. The words " Falling down about our ears" were used.

Having worked there I remembered a solid Victorian building with some walls 3 feet thick ( Had to drill them) so found this hard to believe.

Then the plans were altered , the QE was developed instead, and the B,ham General ,Victorian brickwork still standing solidly, 20 years later , is now The Princess Diana Childrens Hospital.

Yes I'm glad the birmingham children's hospital is still standing, it's a great place with great staff.

Perhaps you will soon be able to register for part p through them soon, well at least the wife will be happy as she'll get her clubcard points per notification.

when i needed some reading glasses went to local optician as i get test done for free. This was before five o'clock. When i came out from optician the woman that sorts the glasses had gone home. Now this really got my goat so i ordered the glasses i needed of the internet and sure they would have been a lot cheaper.
