Hi

My dad owns a flat which has a commerical fire alarm system and emergency lighting installed. I believe the emergency lights are the non maintaned type.

I was wondering if I enroll onto the C&G 1853, what else would I need in order to test and maintain such systems? I

already have

2330 lv 2 and 3

17th amendment 1 edition wiring regulations

About 10 years of experience. Or read alot about and and ask others.. Fire regs can be very strange as nothing is set in stone as for what system you need for what properties

BS5266 and BS5839 (parts one and six AT LEAST!)

Plus, as said above, a lot of experience, some canned smoke, a digital thermometer, a heat gun (NOT blowtorch!), decent DC meter, lux meter, dB meter, and lots of Public indemnity insurance ;)

Probably missed summat too :)
