Hi I was wondering if I had to be approved to sign off test sheets.

If you carry out any electrical installations you should produce certificates even if you are not registered with any governing body. The only stipulation is that you will have to be competant especially if you do EICR's. The new name for PIR's.

You just need to be an electrician .

When you say "Approved" are you talking of SJIB ?

No requirement north of the border to be assessed as "Competent"
