Don't know if you remember but I asked some advice about having my mare's ovaries removed. Well just to let you know this was done in early December at 'Rossdales' in Newmarket (referred there by my vet). Was done as you said in stocks under local anasethic. The wounds have now healed really well and she is back in light work. So far 'touch wood' the change in her behaviour has been unbelievable and if her progress keeps up I'll be wel impressed. So this is just a note to say thank you for answering my questions honestly enabling me to make a decision which has so far been sucessful.

I hope she was insured or you have deep pockets

Had to have very deep pockets, the insurance wouldn't pay as they claimed it was a behavioural problem and thus excluded. But the change in her has been worth it up to now
