theres a mouse and keyboard for each tower but the server pc (the one in the middle utilises synergy software which allows one mouse and keyboard on the server to be linked thru the internal network so each tower can be controlled by the servers mouse/keyboard depending where the mouse cursor is on each computers screen.

Id be a bit embarrassed to show my set-up after that, [almost] TBH,

2 PCs in the 'office' , doing normal stuff, 1 I use, , 1 is a sort of server running ubuntu 12.04/centOS6/backtrack/windoze7[PENtesting], the other is a 'proper' PC running ubuntu 11.10/centOS6/backtrack,

the little ones runs 'edubuntu' and BACKTRACK3 that is simply used to keep hammering my 'friends' wifi cos he uses torrents [ :slap ],

old laptop downstairs running ubuntu 11.10 that is really only used for streaming music etc from the 'server' and streaming TV onto the proper TV downstairs [read that as for me to watch the bike racing when the wife is out!], and the wifes work laptop running W7, that usually doesnt work more than it does! :slap

BTW, when I say PCs and old, my newest PC is 06, my next newest is XP/vista age! so probably positively ancient to most of you,

but, my little 'uns pc [XP at a push with 512ram] running edubuntu is the slowest Linux to boot up and still does it faster than the Mrs all singing/dancing top of the range lappie running W7

surely you couldnt ever condone the use of a computer that uses the sub code from LINUX could you?

but still not secure enough from BT5 without additional measures!

BTW, most hard core UNIX arent immune to BT5 either, without additional measures, just that windoze PCs are just that, easy to crack.! :slap

I do know it runs linux, its what helped me switch from Debian to OSX. I used to run power mac and debian for a few years together. I now run linux programs on my mac.

After years of running multiple lame computers i now sit with a smug smile as i have a powerful imac that can handle a alot of processing. In an ideal world we could all afford 1 monster computer with many screens, but funding is always an issue.

I cant help the childish comments towards a non mac owners. The misery i suffer from the misses and kids i have to take what little glory i can.

it doesnt bother me that you cant get to grips with Ubuntu, not everyone is that gifted,

still, at least you are getting there.

someday soon you will be smart enough to not have to pay for your OS, either that, or just too skint to afford to. :|

No its not paperless the pc in the middle is a server pc and the one to left does the lighting and general pc and the one to the right does the programming to the skulls/robots

I downloaded Ubuntu but am bit worried it'll muck my laptop up and it's got all my business stuff on it so don't want to muck that up. Plus I can't find a setup.exe file and can't work out how to load it up lol. My pal uses it and I like it tho

.exe is a windows file-type

You simply burn your UBUNTU image as an ISO and set your lappie to boot from CD
