She got both ******* barrels!!

Verbal quote time and date agreed last week to connect a cooker to existing circuit, had to be after 16:30 to fit in with her and her partners work times.

Advised the circuit would have to be checked/tested before I connected cooker.

So today I make my way across the 10 miles of traffic, get stuck at roadworks some half mile from the address, call the mobile number to say I shall be a few minutes late..........."oh ermm yes, the oven was fitted on friday. The electrician had just qualified so did it cheap for us as his first job.......sorry I suppose we should have called. To let you know....at least you get an early finish today"

Out of interest what did he charge...... "£15"........ Blimey he won't be in business long, that's half my cancellation fee...."hahaha, urmm yes"........silence from me....."yes....are you serious"

Indeed I am madam the invoice will be in the post tonight, because as you say I now have an early end to the day, where I can use the time to complete my mileage form for a wasted journey, where I could be 10 miles away starting another job!....anyway must go, have a nice evening......good bye.

£50 to remove old cooker & fit new, but was prepaired to drop it a little if it was a simple job.......

Don't you mean to disconnect old cooker.

Careful how you word your quotes. To me "remove" means physically remove it from the premises and dispose of it correctly.

even crappy old cookers can  be sold to the refurb guys for minimum £10

round my way,  they come and collect it within 2 hrs
