if the incoming pipe is extraneous (looks like it is?) then you need to bond it

if the copper inside the house is extraneous, then you also need to bond that

why would you not bond, metalic incoming service or have i missed something?

incoming is copper.

should have put, would you bond to the 20mm after stop cock then bridge the plastic section?

bond on the copper at the stop cock and from there on the copper just after that poly pipe, one unbroken cable run

green and yellow to right was supp bond, there is a 6mm bond from consumer unit, think its on the floor if you can make it out.obviously gonna up that to 10mm

Due to the limitations of accessible pipe between the stopcock and the pressure gauge and the risk of a plumber damaging the connection if working on the pressure gauge, I would probably go initially onto the horizontal pipe just before the stopcock, then up to both sides of the polypipe tee piece onto the two sections of copper, all with one unbroken wire. Out of curiosity have you measured the continuity between the stopcock and the pipes after the polypipe section?

Doc H.

If its TT I would bond incoming pipe to get a nice earth but would probably bond incoming and past the plastic bit with one cable anyway what is the earthing system.

thats pretty much irrelevant

thats verging on [insert your own swear word] stupidity giving advice like that ! incoming services have absolutely no bearing on TT earthing. are you a 5DFW? ;)

Was just going to say if its TNCS (pme) good idea to get it right but as you say what ever system it is its irrelevant. I will keep quiet now don't want another slap.
