Been there, done that. Word of advice DO NOT lubricate any bits [and this applies to life in general] with a lube that remains wet/sticky.....it attracts every bit of dust, sand, grit , metal filings, soil etc and everything grinds to a familiar halt very quickly.

Also take a note of how many turns you 'take off' the adjusting screws when you remove the doors, it makes a quick/approx refitting a lot quicker

Noz, I had to change the whole lock gear assembly on one of our doors a few weeks ago.

I'll second the don't lube it comment.

Also beware that the new gear may be slightly different, ours was which meant drilling new openings for the locking gear & the latches, quite easily though TBH.

Not really electrically related, but...I phoned up a double glazing repair co. this afternoon to get a price for them to replace the roller assy's on an aluminium sliding door

about what we would charge :p
Yeah, but in all fairness Electrician v. Window/door fiddler ?.......I'll wager a slap up feast at Mrs Miggings Pie Emporium that the [majority of :innocent ] former has undergone slightly more training than the latter!....I stand to be corrected [Willoughby, Minogue, K.Gillan etc]........... :coat
