Prices would be:-

SDHVDE001    1000v VDE Screwdriver handle (non torque)     £5.40 each

SDHTHA001    1000v VDE Interchangeable T-Handle                £6.40 each

Any of the interchangeable Screwdriver Blades                           £2.14 each

I hope this now makes perfect sense, if not Canoe Boy can send me the mug.

I have all these coming in very soon, will let you all know when they arrive.

As slips mentioned....do,they do Ph 1 & ,2. .+/- or only Pz?

Thinking about the torque set along with a 4 and 6 flat blade

Just considering my options
On the link the blades types are listed, i am sure they do as you require but please check it out

It does look like only one kind of +/- yes, but it's not totally clear which!

The thing is that the points are designed to acheve different things, Ph is designed to cam out, Pz is designed not, to cam out!

The tip geometry is also different.

I Based my assumptions on what comes in the 5 piece set.......only Pz......but thinking about it a bit more.....why list the PZs as an additional item when they are already in the kit anyway?

There agin if you zoom in on the blades in the additional items it clearly states PZ on the blades!

So there we have it...no further on than we were before, just older

Just saying

I have a cunning plan, Kerching i am going to send you the NON torque set, this has all the blades included (no charge)

In return can you try them out at your leisure and report back to the good and the great (that's Sidewinder) and confirm what the f**k type

of blades it is.

I just got off the phone to armeg tech and the two +/- bits are definitely PZ, they don't make PH +/- ones. But it is now on their to-do list. the range of bits were what their market research showed what were the most popular bits. They also said that the range only went on the market 6 weeks ago and they have flown off the shelves.

Edit; Wouldn't having the slot driver included in the head mean that you could use the pz +/- bit anyway on ph +/- screw heads? but then I suppose you could just use either ph or slotted. Will have to await the results of the field tests;)

I just noticed that the 8-piece set doesn't include any ph blades, perhaps one (or both) could be included in the field test set for kerching to peruse too?

3rd post on this, looking through the manufacturer's torque list again posted earlier by Blue Duck, of those that specify a screw head type, all are pz, including wylex. It seems to be standard. So it might be hard to find a ph +/- terminal for kerching to test.

I realise now that by posting these posts, I might have put the mokkers on kerching getting a freebie. I hope that is not the case

Schneider stuff especially on the industrial controls side is Ph +/-, hence my concerns.

If there was a full range of blades, I would be snapping this up I think as I jumped in for a set that does not have an adequate torque range!

Especially if they are the slim bladed type that will reach down inside the tunnels on some circuit protective devices.

I also come across torx & hex on some kit, so that would be nice...

Armeg, if you are listening?...

I already had this:

http://www-uk.wera.de/product_detail_uk.html?L=1&file=root_category_screwdriving_tools_for_electricians_kraftform_kompakt_vde_kk_vde_60_i_62_i_68_i_18&lang=en-UK

I was struggling with some of the blades as they are not the "slim" type, so do not go down the screw tunnels of the deep tunnel breakers.

So I got this which does have the slim bits, which means I have both interchangeable between the handles.

http://www-uk.wera.de/product_detail_uk.html?L=1&file=root_category_screwdriving_tools_for_electricians_torque_tools_kk_vde_60is_65is_67is_15___torque_1_2_-_3_0_nm&lang=en-UK

I think I added some bits too.

My ONLY gripe is that it only goes to 3Nm, else I really like the both sets TBH.

If the torque handle went to say 6 or 8 it would probably be fine.

In fact I would willingly buy, an additional handle to cover the extended range, but, they just don't make one!

Blimey this is great, i haven't a clue now, Kerching you are getting a set whether you like it or not!
