Track Lighting Systems

Evening Folks, I've been looking at track lighting systems for my kitchen and wondered if there was any standards between the different manufacturers systems. Can I use one manufacturers fittings on an others track?

I would think not although some may be interchangeable.

There is no common standard..

SOme manufacturers even have different styles which are not interchangable with eachother,, although all their own fitings will fit the different adaptors!

when i was trying to source some commercial track lights i found a company that were willing to make / convert existing track-lights to fit my needs. not sure these sorts would be too suitable for a kitchen as they were quite bulky, i could try and find the company again if u want?

I think I'll just find a brand I like and go with it. But thanks for the offer.
