I have a triple spotlight in my kitchen. One bulb blew recently, and now no bulb will work in that socket. I tried the new bulb in the other two sockets and it works fine, so I guess there's a problem with that one socket. Can this be fixed (and would it be a safe and easy DIY job for a layman), or do I need to replace the whole triple fitting?

If they are screw in 'ES' spot lamps then it may be just the springy metal contacts inside the connector that need tweeking out a bit to make a connection with the new lamp....

They can often lose their springyness with age and heat etc from when the lamp has been on.

^^

I was about to say that.

MAKE SURE the lighting circuit is turned completely off before you go poking around inside the light fitting to investigate.

Where are you located, somebody here may be able to drop by & take a look for you.
