but i just couldn't live with the "transformer resisitive quote"

A TRANSFORMER HAS RESISTANCE but its load type is not resistive
Except of course when you have to take into account the..

Resistive component, [horizontal]

and the Reactive component (in this case inductive), [vertical]

to calculate the real power as opposed to the apparent power.. [diagonal]

with the ole trigonometric power triangle??

spose if we knock out the "Resistive" its more of a stick than a triangle???

mind you... your way will make the calcs easier...
