I have been to quote for installing a panel heater behind a plumbed in towel rail in a bathroom (for use in the summer when central heating is turned off), it is outside of zones but obviously needs to be ok to have damp towels hanging directly in front of it and be less than 500mm wide 900mm high and 60mm deep in order to fit behind the existing towel rail bad day explode

I've been googling for a while but the only thing I have found that looked like it could work was in America, any one now of anything suitable or a better solution??

Unfortunately an element won't fit into the existing towel rail :(

screw fix does a small element for fitting inside a towel radiator.... i have never seen a towel radiator to small for an element to be fitted.

It's not that it's too small it's that the valves connect in at 90 degrees to the pipes as it's floor standing

:coffee That would be an option but the current towel rail is rather impressive looking and it's large so they would have to recarpet the bathroom as well :)

Not sure the IP rating is high enough to have wet towels placed on it unfortunately.

Maybe I could find a slim towel rail to squeeze in??

found these but they need a remote control unit aswell, but are certainly the most promising solution I've found yet
