How many of you guys have a unit or lock-up or do you just work from home. And if you do have a unit do you think it brings in any extra work ?

i have a unit, used for keeping stock / workshop etc. also directly opposite travis perkins, but still get very little work for people seeing the signs

Can't see it ever bringing in extra work? It's just somewhere to fill with crap rather than falling over it all in the garage\shed\house\garden all the time.

If you mean unit as in a proper business premises with offices and wotnot, then it will still doubtfully bring in extra work, depending what you're doing. If you're doing many jobs for a few individuals and builders then I can't see it making much difference, probably attract as may as it deters. If you're after council contracts and all those contracts with ideas-above-their-station-need-knocking-down-a-peg-or-two builders, then maybe.

Ive got a unit bang next to house...

Well kind of a unit, some would call it a barn. But its a modern one lol. Bonus of living on a "non working farm"

Although no extra work, as no one see's it.

But brilliant for storage :) id be lost without it ive got that much junk!

I'd have thought a 'unit' away from your house was a good way of having your gear stolen!
Depending what you've got and where you live it's no safer keeping it at home!

No unit , work from home . Garage is workshop, shelving and workbench. Box room is the office but I admit to refering on site to "the office or the yard" TBH Sounds more proffesional, ;)

I work from home but would like a unit but as Adrian says it costs money and you have got to generate work to pay for that.
