Exactly. They show if the power is going out to say the motor, so power is sitting on one side of the contactor, waiting for the contactor to energise via the control circuit, once energised, contactor closes, power now out at motor.We're talking about lamps on an indicator panel which show whether a particular contactor or circuit-breaker is closed or open. They're wired on separate control circuits, not on the actual feed which is being switched.
