once had a 4c95mm go down ,had to cut it and pull damaged section out of duct ,the cable had damage to outer insulation and had filled up with water,when we stripped the damaged section we found no actual damage to the cores other than they were saturated when dried out it tested clear

we have just got the owner to agree to a full PIR so that any other "issues" can be addressed , so should know more about everthing once that is done

 
From the information supplied in your posts Danny, it appears that your old boss may well have complied with the Regulations, in fact he may well have exceeded the requirements of the Regulations by installing a separate 50mm

 
all the cables are double insulated cables !! in a duct... i wouldnt have done it like that i would have used SWA... but like i said i have only just come onto the job....
