Hi can anyone help please? I have to upgrade an old (fuse) D/B to a new (MCB) D/B and the existing supply cable is a 25mm 4 core SWA, with the SWA being used as the CPC. The length of the run from the mains panel is about 40-50 mts.Is this acceptable or is a seperate cpc required ???

It's in GN1, however, is your Zs OK for the CPD?

I'll did out GN1 in a bit and see.

As this is 4c then it is a TPNE supply then?

GN1 says that the armour on a 25mm 4C BS6346 SWA is adequate to comply with table 54.7.

To make any further judgement you would need to know the CPD size.
