My old Escort van no longer drives in 3rd or 4th gear so its off to the scrapyard I think.

I've seen a 54 plate Renault Trafic with about 60k on the clock, anyone got anything good bad or indifferent to say about them.

Same as the Vivaro aint it ?, Got a Vivaro last year and love it best van I've had yet, I have heard that turbo's can play up ask if they have had any engine management lights come on, I know 2 people who have had the van go into limp home mode for no reason.

How much they asking for it ?

gearbox goes around 90,000 seen it on a few, its a common problem, other than than there a good van.

my kitchen fitter has got a trafic

loves it,,good drive

bit of a jump escort to a trafic

my combo is off to the scrappy this month,,,but cant find a van at the mo to replace it

well you might all be in luck, im selling my 2006 fiat skudo 20,000 miles full service history, fully plylined, no dents scratches, full custom made galv roof rack, still under manufactors warrent untill june.

Anyone interested pm me with offers.

The reason the renault trfic normaly goes into limp home mode is the egr valve sometimes sticks open or the disc falls off the end.

yes same problem on a lot of dervs, usually needs cleaning or replacing

I have a Trafic.

As above, there can be an issue with the EGR valve - easy enough to fix.

There is also an issue with the desisel pumps disintergrating and destroying the injectors - heard it can cost 1500 quid to repair!

If maintained and looked after they are good vans.

Strongly suggest getting it chipped - it was pants before, now its quite decent :D

D.

Change of plan now, spoke to my mate whos got his own garage and he advised to keep clear as they are always in for repairs so I've plumped for a Ducato with only 19k on the clock.

"bit of a jump escort to a trafic"

Yeah, but I need 3 seats in the front and thought I might as well have one which can take a 3m length in the rear (whey-hey) so I can have a full bulkhead. I've seen the results of not having a bulkhead and it isnt pretty.
