Evening fellas, am I right in thinking that when you have worked out the volt drop ( mV*A*M/1000 ) if this is greater than the values given in the OSG ( pg 124 ) then you would have to recalculate untill you could meet the values ??????????????.

Thanks Apache, that is what I meant to post, I would need to increase my CSA to meet the OSG values.

Or reduce the length of the circuit ;) :D
i can just imagine that... large factory unit wanting new lights....

'well we dont want to use a larger sized cable to overcome volt drop, so we will make the circuit length shorter. but you will need torches if you need to use that side of the building.'

 
The battery cover on my meter popped open today and the batteries fell on the floor.

Is that a volt drop? :p

 
yes. did you work out the % drop and if it was safe to continue using it?!
Since they landed on my feet, I figured it was a little over toe percent.
