Hi Lads , I was wondering if there are any good central heating repair books you could recommend? I'm a spark by trade but will be doing my gas course this year with a view to doing boiler break down repairs in the future.

Cheers

Head for the Honeywell and Drayton websites and get the system wiring books and product guides. Once you've got those you can fault find the system wiring as everything on the system is basically just a on\off or changeover switch. Beyond that, each boiler will have its own fault finding flowcharts, follow those and you won't be far off.

I use 'Central Heating Fault Finding & Repair' by J. Reginald (ISBN 0-9546013-0-0). Got me out of the poo a couple of times.
