was just wondering what qualifications people have.

i am still training but would one day like my own business... and would like to offer as well as norm, fire alarms, security alarms , cctv, emergency lighting etc... and was wondering what you needed to be able to design and install.

are there people on here who do all this already? if so what have you got#?

Hi there,

I think you will find it will vary, from nothing to alot.

I only have a 2381 and 2391 - soon to be the 17th versions.

Although i did an apprenticeship at rolls royce, and onc and hnc an electrical and electronic engineering.

To be honest, if you do the one hour or so online 17th exam, you meet the requirements of some of the scams - and they will accept you as competent enough to do electrical work. Legally you don't even need any qualifications to do commercial or industrial work! Welcome to the screwed up industry that is the electrical sector!
