What is the difference between these components?

component 2: http://www.digikey.co.uk/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&itemSeq=219001696&uq=636225817736580885

As you can see, one of them is called TLC2272ACP and the other one is called TLC2272ACPE4, I'm not sure if the extra "E4" changes something about the component. The DataSheet doesn't seem to offer any answers either.

It's just a revision number. I can't find any reference to it, but the devices are the same, just the part numbers change, although if you remove the revision numbers you get the current part, if you add the revision number you end up finding the out of stock old discontinued part.
