had to remove socket as part of kitchen refurb and this is what i found.

yes that is a 2.5 T&E connected to a 6mm T&E going back to the board on a 30amp 3036 fuse.

I think perhaps that it may have been DIY DAN having a go. I particularly liked the way all the conductors were identified, and they earthed the back box!

DIY doughnut by the looks of it, a little knowledge can be VERY dangerous in this persons case.

providing the 2.5 can take the fault current to operate the 3036, then the 2.5 complies (unfused spur from radial - page 363)

but his methods of joining the cable and sleeving the earth is a disgrace
